One of the bad parts about hibachi is that there's usually a hood overhead to vent fumes from the cooking area. They're so loud you almost have to yell at the person next to you for them to hear. Koto's hibachi grills have the hood built in to the grill. Much, much quieter. For the food, the entrees are what you'd expect from a Japanese steakhouse in that there's not a lot of difference from place to place. I will say if you're going to try the steak, spend the extra two bucks and get the filet mignon. It's worlds better than the sirloin. The sushi and sashimi selections are where Koto sets itself apart. They have a large variety, and it's fresh and flavorful. Try the Koto Spider Roll. It's awesome. Other steakhouses include soup or salad with the entree. Koto charges extra for the salad ($2), but you get what you pay for. It's a much larger salad, with a lot more in the way of ingredients, and the ginger dressing has a lighter taste to it here than in other places I've been. It works really well with the salad. The restaurant has a very contemporary design, much like what you'd expect to see downtown. They have a party room for groups of 20 or more, and a full service bar. I enthusiastically recommend this place for a night out, or a birthday, or any occasion really.

Was a little hard to find but certainly worth the effort. Bryan and I went to check out the sushi. I love sushi but can sometimes be a bit of a sushi snob. We went in and the place was lovely inside. The wall waterfall and the atmosphere was relaxed. We sat at the sushi bar and the gentlemen working there took great care of us. I had Plum sake and we shared 3 very good rolls. The best of the 3 being Eel and Avacado. We will certainly be going back again to try 3 different rolls that will include what the couple sitting next to us had....firey dragon...
